I agree this is a cross party type of thing but I bet the directors and share holders whom all got paid are all Tory scum.

And the low paid workers who won't get their wages Labour.

Talking of corruption. Wasn't just about the most corrupt person that ever lived Robert Maxwell? The Robert Maxwell that owned Labour's very own mouthpiece, the Daily Mirror.

Just asking, in view of the pretence of some on here that corruption is the preserve of the right and that it disappears completely during Labour governments.

why do you miss the point of my original post?
the guy had a position as givt advisor to Number 10 on "corporate responsibility" - and I said that was ironic and you "couldn't make it up"

no one said no other party receives donations from corporates you fuck knuckle

you made this bun fight all about your anti labour stance - and you've made yourself look a right inflamed fox's anus

and the twisted irony is - your family and friends have suffered because of countless cold calculating profit hoarding, asset stripping tactics of successive right wing govts - and yet you still vote for them - like a turkey voting for xmas.

you're a mess and a disgrace

It won’t though will it?

Capitol Man - Agreed. The imbeciles on this site only want to consider its a Tory thing though, they’ll turn a blind eye to their lot doing it. Pathetic.

Re: carillion

Because I’m sure a look at Tory party donors would turn up anything sketchy.

In what is essentially a two-party system it’s not going to be hard to find connections to any company that makes political donations.

Personally I’d be all for banning all contributions.

Johnson 8:28 Tue Jan 16
Re: carillion
I don’t believe in any of those things you thick lanky prick but what I do know is his company received contracts off the back of donations and his ties to the party which is what was being discussed.

You jump on the bandwagon for the hard of thinking and bash the Tories all day long, it won’t get you very far and will make you look foolish if your lot get in and do the same if not very similar things.

Re: carillion
pulham, exactly what I thought at the time, every company has a CSR box to tick.

But then I got a bit involved in it with some clients and they truly did some great work.

A few of the main board directors (not there now), acted as mentors to homeless ex-service personnel, many of them ex-addicts etc. They had to clean up and get regular blood and urine checks, but if they passed they were given decent accommodation and jobs. I worked with one of them who ended up as a highly paid shift supervisor at a major European Bank, fully trained by Carillion in Electrical engineering and High-Voltage (11KV) Authorised person.

All paid for by Carillion, they were not all bad.

Re: carillion
Rios - a cynic might say they were ticking the social enterprise box that gets attached to all contracts of that nature.

A while a go they were installing level access showers and ramps for injured service men, the MoD got fed up with the delays and high prices from Carillion and asked other contractors to step in to clear the back log - that was about five years ago.

In defence of Carillion, they did some excellent work with ex-services people and ex-cons and homeless folk when i was there.

Johnson 2:16 Tue Jan 16

can't see anywhere that Mr Aldridge rinsed out his connection for public contracts - helped initiate a guaranteed financial clawback scheme for him and his cronies when a company he ran went into the ground with no guarantee for the workers pensions.

Neither can I see any link of blatant insider trader information by tory linked banks who held shares in his companies and then ditched them not 12 months before the announcement of said companies going tits up

but you keep going son - you probably believe in classics like "alt left". "Ain't no money tree", "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money" and "no such thing as society"

no respect intended - but I hope you get arse cancer and die of animal contracted AIDS
